Wayne Shaw was born in Thomasville, Ga., and raised in Perry, Fla. His hunting credentials include about 15 years of working with Hunters Specialties as well as “many fine turkey and deer hunting trips” with ProStaffer Rick White — some of which made it to national television. In addition to his extensive outdoors experience, Wayne has worked in a wide range of fields. While in college at the University of Florida in the 1960s, he worked for Burlington Northern Railroad during the summers. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1972 and spent two years at Fort Benning, Ga., where he tested new equipment and camouflage that was eventually used in Desert Storm. After receiving an honorable discharge in 1974, he entered the field of cost, scheduling and estimating in the construction work industry. In 1984, he started a real estate appraisal company in Atlanta, Ga., and is now in his 36th year in the business.
