Chris Bassingthwaite grew up in a log cabin in the woods in the small town of Gilsum, New Hampshire. He spent most of his time hunting and fishing in the mountains — usually with his grandfather. His best childhood memories were in the woods or on the water. Chris graduated from Monadnock Regional High School, and went into the Air Force directly afterwards. He served as a communication technician, and even though he was stationed all over the U.S., he was able to maintain his passion for the outdoors. After the Air Force, Christ moved back to my home state of New Hampshire to be with and start a family. For the last 15 years, he has been able to live his dream by working in the outdoor industry. To Chris, the best times are sharing memories and stories, usually around a campfire, with amazing people he has met along the way. He is proud to be able to hand this tradition to his children and other youth. In Chris’ words: “It’s our job as outdoorsmen to teach kids and young adults the skills and importance of our outdoor heritage. I have worked with many great people and companies along the way, and Bresser would be at the top of that list. Optics are a huge part of the hunting world, which is why I am honored to be working for such a respected company. I look forward to meeting you on my next outdoor adventure!
